  • Charlotte Clarke, Serena Clarke and Natasha Hudson have all been selected in the English Colleges FA Squad for 2018/19.

Two of Leicester City Women’s Under 14’s, Mikayla Wilgoose and Dulci Binns have both been selected to represent the Midlands in the final stage of the English Schools’ FA Under 15 selection for the 2018/19 season.

The trial process takes place on Sunday 9 December where the two will join players from across the Midlands to face squads from the North, the South East and the South West.

Following the trials, the 2018/19 ESFA U15 squad will be selected in preparation for an initial training day, a training camp in Eindhoven and, ultimately, to wear the three lions against the other home nations in the annual Bob Docherty Tournament which, this year, is being held in Spain.

Leicester City Women Under 14’s Manager, Dave Briars said: “Dulci and Mikayla have made massive strides since joining the Club. Their attitude to learning has allowed them to compete at very high levels where they have been inspirational on the pitch and in training.

The whole team and staff are extremely proud of the girls and hope they can inspire others within the Club and beyond.”

Leicester City Women will also be represented at College level, with goalkeepers Charlotte Clarke and Serena Clarke both selected in the English Colleges FA squad alongside forward Natasha Hudson.

The trial process began in mid-October this year with five phase one trial dates before the final phase trial on Saturday 17 November.

The three players will represent both Leicester City Women and their respective Colleges as part of a 26-person squad that will face a two-day training camp in December including a friendly against a side from English Independent Schools.
