Leicester City Women to host Bristol City in 2018/19 season opener

Leicester City Women will begin their 2018/19 season at home to Bristol City Women after the FA Women’s Championship and Continental League Cup fixtures were released in full on Wednesday 1 August.

 

– Leicester City Women will open the 2018/19 Continental Tyres Cup campaign with a home match against Bristol City Women at Farley Way Stadium on Sunday 19 August, 2018.
– The Foxes are alongside Aston Villa, Birmingham City, Bristol City, Manchester City and Sheffield United in the Continental League Cup group stages.
– The Foxes travel to Crystal Palace in the opening match of the FA Women’s Championship season on Sunday 9 September.
– They end the Championship season with an away trip to Charlton Athletic on Sunday 12 May.

The Foxes will take on Bristol City on Sunday 19 August in a 2pm kick off at Farley Way Stadium in the first of five group stage matches in the Continental League Cup.

Leicester City’s first away match of the season sees them travel to last season’s Continental League Cup Runners-Up Manchester City on Sunday 26 August.

The 2018/19 FA Women’s Championship season kicks off on Sunday 9 September as Jonathan Morgan’s side travel to Crystal Palace before their first home game of the league campaign comes under the lights against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday 19 September.

Jonathan Morgan’s side welcome fellow Championship newcomers Manchester United to Farley Way Stadium on Sunday 28 October with the trip to Manchester scheduled for Sunday 14 March 2019.

Lewes are the opposition at Farley Way Stadium in the first fixture of 2019 on Sunday 6 January whilst their final game of the season sees the Foxes travel to Charlton Athletic on Sunday 12 May.

All fixture dates and kick-off times are pending live TV broadcast selections and are subject to change. Those changes will be reflected on LCWFC.com as soon as they are announced.
