Strength & Conditioning Coach

Leicester City Women Football Club are currently looking to expand in a number of different areas.

The Football Club is currently the highest tiered Women’s Football Club within the East Midlands, providing an excellent Player Pathway for Under 9s right through to our First Team.

We are looking to recruit in the below area:
Strength & Conditioning Coach

Purpose:

  • Provide Strength & Conditioning support to Leicester City Women Football Club. 
  • Working with the First Team Manager to develop and deliver a high-performing program for all Leicester City Women teams.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide Strength & Conditioning support to all Leicester City Women.
  • Work and liaise effectively with all departments of the Club (Coaching, Goalkeeping, Sports Therapy, Sports Analysis, Safeguarding & Welfare, Club Operations, and Communications).
  • Adhering to The FA standards for the Safeguarding of Children and Vulnerable Adults.
  • Ensure all Club polices, Codes of Conduct, FA Respect guidelines are adhered to.
  • Knowledgeable of FA Rules and Regulations and Competition Rules.
  • Knowledgeable of Women’s football.
  • Willingness to continue in their professional development.
  • Willingness to work weekends. Ability to travel independently.

Person Specification (Key Skills, Experience, Qualifications Required):

Essential

  • Degree level in Sports Science or related area, or currently working towards completion.
  • USKCA Accreditation or currently working towards.
  • Minimum 1-year experience in the provision of Strength & Conditioning.
  • Professional Indemnity Insurance
  • In date FA Enhanced CRC Check
  • In date FA Safeguarding Children Workshop
  • Driving Licence
  • Empathy with young players with an ability to inspire
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of learning, development and high performance with a proven ability to create optimum learning environments for players.
  • Aware of diversity and equality challenges in football.
  • Passion to develop the Women’s game. With a long-term focus in aiding in its development.
