Rosie Axten celebrates 100 games for Leicester City Women

Forward Rosie Axten celebrated her 100th appearance for the Foxes with a stunning free kick in the victory over Millwall Lionesses

  • The Forward scored both goals as the Foxes recorded a 2-1 victory away from home
  • The 21-year-old has netted 60 goals in 107 appearances

Back in October, Rosie Axten became the second current Leicester City Women player to reach 100 appearances for the Club, the forward netted both goals in a 2-1 win over Millwall Lionesses to seal a perfect day.

The forward has netted 60 goals in her time at the Club and on Sunday took her tally to 107 appearances in the match at Villa Park.

The youngster joined Leicester City Women at the start of the 2014/15 season, netting 15 goals in her first year of senior football.

Following a spell with Loughborough Foxes, Rosie re-joined the Club midway through the 2015/16 campaign and helped Leicester to promotion from the FA WNL Midlands Division One winning all 22 league matches.

Having struggled with injury in 2016, Rosie returned with a bang for the 2017/18 season, netting 31 goals in all competitions including her 50th in Leicester colours during a 2-1 defeat to Blackburn Rovers.

This season, the youngster has adapted well to life in the Championship and has already netted four goals in 15 appearances including the stunning free kick to seal the points on her 100th appearance.
