Leicester City Women Football Club

Season Review: A Short Documentary

At the start of the 2017/18 season, Leicester City Women began filming behind the scenes to follow the Foxes throughout their second season back in the Northern Division.

The short documentary will give fans an insight into the work undertaken behind the scenes at Leicester City Women, and features interviews with key members of the LCWFC Coaching, playing and backroom staff including First Team Manager Jonathan Morgan, Chairman Rohan Morgan, and midfielder (turned co-commentator) Shauna Cossens.

The 2017/18 season saw Leicester reach the 5th Round of the FA Women’s Cup for only the second time in their history, as well as reaching their first ever national cup final. Jonathan Morgan’s side finished 2nd in the Northern Division – their highest ever Northern Division finish – and picked up the County Cup trophy for the 9th time in their history.

The documentary will be released on Saturday 23rd June following the 2017/18 season review.

Throughout the build up to the documentary being released, LCWFC will relive all of the action from the past 10 months. A month by month review showing highlights of key matches throughout the season will be released online throughout June starting on Sunday (3rd June) in the build up to the documentary release on Saturday 23rd June.
